Ordering a made-to-measure shower screen is not picking a colour. Family, type, model, plan, width, height, glass, finish and handle. In a catalogue or on the phone, combinations were lost and the price never came from the same screen.

The cheese dairy garden in Fuentesaúco had plants with a story — thistle for rennet, rosemary for ageing, olive trees more than a thousand years old — and visitors left without a card. A physical sign was not enough.
